It depends on which kind of appointment you are booking. For medication management, we ask for a referral from another provider. A primary care provider, another physician, or a therapist can send one, and it can be faxed to our office at (321) 779-4502. For therapy, no referral is needed and you can call us directly. Either way, we will have you complete an intake form with our office before your first appointment. Separately from our own policy, some insurance plans require a referral for any specialist visit, so it is worth checking with your plan before you call.

Please bring a valid photo ID, your insurance card, a list of current medications, and any relevant medical records or referrals. Arrive 15 minutes early to complete intake paperwork.

Your first visit will include a comprehensive evaluation where your provider will discuss your history, current concerns, and treatment goals. Together, you will develop a personalized care plan. Initial evaluations typically last 45–60 minutes.

Tell us. Fit matters more in this work than in most, and it is a normal thing to raise rather than a complaint. Because our psychiatrists, nurse practitioners and therapists all work in the same practice, moving you to a different clinician does not mean starting over somewhere new or repeating your history to a stranger.

We treat a wide range of mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, personality disorders, grief, and more. Our team provides comprehensive evaluations to determine the best course of treatment for each individual.

A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who can diagnose mental health conditions and prescribe medication. A counselor (therapist) provides talk therapy to help patients develop coping strategies and process emotions. Many patients benefit from working with both.

Yes. We provide psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and therapy for children from age six, adolescents, and adults. Our providers work with younger patients.

Yes. We offer both family therapy and couples counseling. Family therapy helps navigate conflict, life transitions, and communication challenges. Couples counseling supports partners in improving communication and strengthening their relationship.

Yes. We evaluate and treat ADHD in both children and adults. Treatment may include therapy, medication management, or a combination, and your provider will work with you to find the approach that fits best.

Yes. Our counselors and therapists support individuals through all kinds of loss, including the death of a loved one, divorce, life transitions, and other experiences of grief. You don’t need a diagnosis to seek help.

Yes. We offer structured group therapy sessions that provide accountability, connection, and professional support in a shared setting. Contact our office to learn about current groups and availability.

We conduct regular case reviews among our team. Everyone shares responsibility for your care, ensuring that your psychiatrist, nurse practitioner, and counselor are aligned on your treatment plan.

No. Medication is one option among several, and whether it has a place in your care is decided with you at the evaluation rather than before it. Many patients here work with a therapist and never see a prescriber. Others use both. If medication is suggested, you will understand the reasoning before you decide anything.

Some of our clinicians offer telehealth and some see patients in person only, so it depends on who you are working with. Therapy is the more widely available option by video. Psychiatric evaluation and medication management are currently in person. Tell our office which you would prefer when you call and we will match you with a provider who offers it. Telehealth sessions run through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform.

Initial evaluations typically last 45–60 minutes. Follow-up medication management appointments are usually 15–30 minutes. Therapy sessions are typically 45–50 minutes.

We ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and no-shows may incur a fee. If something comes up, just call us as soon as you can and we will help you find another time.

Medication refills are handled through your provider during follow-up appointments. If you need a refill between visits, contact our office at (321) 779-9838 and allow 48–72 business hours for processing. Refills cannot be provided without an active patient–provider relationship.

With your permission, family members can participate in sessions or receive updates about your care. Family involvement can be an important part of the treatment process, especially for children and adolescents.

We are open until 7:00 PM on weekdays, so there are appointments that do not require leaving work early or taking a child out of school. Those slots go first, so it is worth asking for one when you call rather than waiting to be offered it. We are closed Saturday and Sunday.

We accept most major insurance plans including Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, Humana, Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, UnitedHealthcare, and Optum. Please contact our office to verify your specific plan and coverage.

Cost depends on your insurance plan and the type of visit. If you have insurance, contact your carrier or our office to verify coverage and any copay. For self-pay patients, call us at (321) 779-9838 for current rates. Payment is due at the time of service.

We offer self-pay options for patients without insurance. Payment is due at the time of service and we accept cash, check, and major credit cards. Contact our office for current self-pay rates.

Call our office and ask. Payment arrangements depend on the situation, and it is a conversation worth having before you decide cost rules this out.

Yes. We follow all HIPAA regulations to protect your health information. Your records are stored securely and only shared with your written consent, except in situations where disclosure is required by law (such as imminent danger to yourself or others).

Yes. Telehealth sessions are conducted through a HIPAA-compliant platform that encrypts your session while it is in progress, and any information the platform stores is encrypted at rest. Our practice has a Business Associate Agreement in place with the platform provider. The same confidentiality rules that govern an in-person visit apply to a telehealth visit.
